Aaron — known to those he bargains with as the Pact Maker — is the human guise of the ice devil Glaciaron Frostbinder, who wears Levistus's power and forges pacts in his name. ^{[heralds-a#7 · last-winter#223]} Aaron is a servant of Levistus and not Levistus himself; the two are separate beings. ^{[owner-form-2026-09-17]}

Overview

In his humanoid form Aaron presents as a mysterious, cold man: sharp, angular features, an unnaturally pale complexion, piercing icy-blue eyes, and dark, immaculate clothing; he carries himself with calculated reserve and speaks in measured, cryptic terms. ^{[last-winter#226]} The name "Aldric Frostwood" was briefly considered for this guise and then set aside in favor of Aaron's own name. ^{[last-winter#223 · last-winter#224 · last-winter#225]}

He also appears in canon material under the heading "Glaciaron (Human Alias: Aaron)": an ice devil managing contracts for Levistus, appearing as a mysterious and cold man in his human guise. ^{[heralds-b#164 · last-winter#325]}

Power and politics

Aaron — not Levistus — is the being who made the pact with Grizzleflame. ^{[owner-form-2026-09-17]} That pact was his most recent, and he may be pursuing others as well. ^{[heralds-a#7]} He has no clear political scheme of his own; the hardship brought by the encroaching winter simply opens doors for the bargains he offers. ^{[heralds-a#7]}

After the party had slaughtered most of Grizzleflame's band and Grizzleflame had escaped them for the third time, Aaron gave him a "cold fire" that turned his flames blue. ^{[heralds-a#11]}

Aaron's current approach toward Elnaril follows a plan that has not been revealed to the party.
