A Regency is one of the little kingdoms the Aenarch Empire is divided into, ruled by a Regent and his bloodline. [last-winter#5]

Place in the imperial order

Duchies and counties lie within a Regency. [last-winter#5] The campaign's own order of rule therefore runs Empire, Regency, Duchy, County. [owner-form-2026-09-17] The Empire above them has no emperor: it appears to be governed by a senate, though in practice certain organizations rule it. [last-winter#5]

Institutions

A Regency has its own capital, and a law-making and regulating officer called the Arbiter sits there. [heralds-b#49] The Arbiter of a Regency answers to a Regency Senate and to an Imperial legal charter, and can issue writs that appoint acting powers where noble or elected ones have failed. [heralds-b#50]

Known regencies

Velfald Regency is a Regency, and its Regent is the symbol of imperial order in the region. [heralds-b#182] Altia is a Regency, and is named as Velfald's neighbour. [owner-form-2026-09-17 · heralds-b#166]
