Overview

Sarlona is the realm of origin for the couatl and the rakshasa alike. ^{[heralds-b#245]} Among its rakshasa was the one who became known as the Breath Reaper, remembered as Sarlona's old enemy after he took countless lives. ^{[heralds-b#245]}

The Burning of Sarlona

Under the Breath Reaper's harvest of breath, Sarlona's cities collapsed and its temples burned, leaving the continent an almost forgotten ruin. ^{[heralds-b#393]}

A temple mural recording the disaster carries this inscription, translated:

One breath is a person.
A thousand breaths, a crime.
Ten thousand breaths... a curse.
