Description

It is a large, kite-shaped shield with a polished steel surface, a roaring lion emblem at its center, and gold trim along the edges. ^{[last-winter#351]}

History

The shield was originally treated as no different from an ordinary shield; at Kaelen's player's request it was given magical properties. ^{[last-winter#350]}

Magical properties

The shield grants a +2 bonus to Armor Class. ^{[last-winter#351 · last-winter#432]}

It carries three magical properties: Deflective Barrier (once per short rest, as a reaction, it imposes disadvantage on an attack roll made against the wielder or an ally within 5 feet), Lion's Roar (once per day, as an action, it forces all enemies within 30 feet to succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute), and Regal Presence (a +1 bonus to Charisma (Intimidation) checks). ^{[last-winter#351 · last-winter#432]}
