Crowcoin is the city's criminal mastermind and the branch of Blackice that runs its economy and intelligence inside Iceverf. [heralds-a#3]
Overview
A canon summary of Blackice's structure names Crowcoin as the city's criminal mastermind, a sub-branch of the organization, and describes him as consciously dissolving his own power. [heralds-a#3] His standing order, separate from that retreat, is to gather information on Scuto. [heralds-b#436]
Players, stop here. What is hidden behind this point is game-master material. The full detail is on GM:Crowcoin.
Power and politics
Crowcoin operates with three certainties: that Blackice is finished as a unified force, that Godwin has already accounted for that, and that Scuto now matters more than the city. [heralds-b#437]
He voluntarily dismantles his own power rather than defend it — releasing his intermediaries, disbanding his enforcement units, and abandoning his safehouses cleanly — so that he becomes a man not worth killing. [heralds-b#436 · heralds-b#437]
Protectors: the Frost Claws
Crowcoin is guarded by the Frost Claws, spell-casting assassins built for illusion and ghost passage who always know his location. [heralds-b#404 · heralds-b#405]
Disappearance
After Faith and Magnus Arcanum raided Blackice's courier network and its captured agents gave up the chain that led to it, the network dissolved without resistance. [heralds-b#438 · heralds-b#439] When a Blackice-linked guard captain later tried to report a new discovery, he found no one left to report to but the goblins and the funeral home woman — because Crowcoin was missing. Unconfirmed ideas
The source conversations contain proposals for Crowcoin that the campaign owner never confirmed. They are collected on Idea:Crowcoin so they cannot be mistaken for canon.
