History

House Ursa's invasion has claimed a third of Velfald's lands. ^{[last-winter#643]} The house's youngest child died in the Battle of Winds of Emberfrost, having first killed the son of the region's ruling Summer Elf leader. ^{[last-winter#643]}

Under Caerwyn Ursa, the Western Front joined the Northern and Eastern fronts in a combined assault that destroyed the forest of Grayhost County, held by the Spring Elves. The Spring Elves fought on as guerrillas for as long as a single tree stood, and lost the frontier; only small bands remained afterward for harassment, sabotage and raids. ^{[heralds-b#40]}
