The Elkborn empress Empress Laerel Reghart, who once ruled the lands on which Moonward now stands, is remembered as an inspiration for Ithreal. ^{[last-winter#507]} The deep gnome Gavrim Deepdelver held no formal power of his own, but he is remembered as Ithreal's closest friend and an unofficial advisor. ^{[last-winter#507 · last-winter#574]}
