Summer Elves are an elf people whose forces clashed with the goblinoid warband of Grizzleflame, fielding hobgoblin mercenaries of their own in the Ocean's County region. ^{[heralds-a#7 · heralds-a#11]}

Overview

In an earlier battle, the Winter Eladrin captain Veladrin took a flaming blade — the Summerflame Dagger — from the Summer Elves as a trophy. ^{[heralds-a#83]}

Breaking the winter

With no balefire left to them, the Summer Elves tried to break the encroaching winter by burning the realm's forests, using goblins, hobgoblins, and other goblinoids to do it. ^{[heralds-a#11]} For this they took the fire of an old dwarven temple in the region, a fire that did not go out. ^{[heralds-a#11]}

During this campaign a party of adventurers wiped out Grizzleflame's warband, killing roughly seventy of his goblins, though Grizzleflame himself escaped. ^{[heralds-a#11]}
