Overview

The Cycle gives the campaign arc Heralds of the Cycle its name, an arc set within the Last Winter timeline. ^{[heralds-b#1]} The party that carries the name does not fight as generals or kings, but as defenders of the weak and of the common people against the Winter Elves' war of conquest. ^{[heralds-b#3]}

Believers and relics

Kardinal Severan Malvayn, the Legion's spiritual commander in Timbermire, holds that the Cycle is divine truth hidden by the Aenarch Church, and keeps a fragment of an older Cycle Tablet that depicts gods being consumed by their own creations. ^{[heralds-b#8]} He reads the curse of Timbermire as the Cycle's first awakening. ^{[heralds-b#8]}
