Local High Mage of Rosereach is the standing head of the Magnus Arcanum tower in Rosereach, distinct from the wartime War High Mage sent to the city during the Winter War. ^{[heralds-b#43]}

Overview

When Rosereach itself is threatened, the office carries no authority over the war effort; it permits the Local High Mage only to gather his own students and withdraw them from danger. ^{[heralds-b#43]}

The crisis at Rosereach

After Naevys Duskbloom evacuated Count Aric Rosemen from the city and the palace staff were slaughtered, the Local High Mage set out to contact Magnus Arcanum to report Naevys's actions and inquire after the Count's whereabouts. ^{[heralds-b#46]}

Relations

Naevys sought to bring the tower's other mages under her own command as the war reached the city, straining relations between her and the Local High Mage. ^{[heralds-b#53]}
