Remain Stalker is not truly a corpse, but a colony of organs that learned to move together, born from the victims of the Cloudkill Ritual. [heralds-a#67 · heralds-a#73 · heralds-a#74]

Overview

A Remain Stalker forms from the lungs, intestines, and sinew of the dead left by the Cloudkill Ritual, fused into a single crawling body. [heralds-a#67 · heralds-a#73 · heralds-a#74] It clings to walls, ceilings, and rubble, lying in ambush in darkness until prey passes beneath it. [heralds-a#67 · heralds-a#73 · heralds-a#74]

Combat

A Remain Stalker's touch infects the victim with growing necrotic tumor tissue; the Tumor Infection saving throw is DC 14, and a DC 15 Medicine check made as an action is needed to remove the infection once it has taken hold. [heralds-a#63]

The Reminder's colony

Every Remain Stalker in Deadreach instinctively obeys Reminder, the gargantuan colony-mind gathered beneath the city; if the Reminder dies, its bond to the Remains breaks. [heralds-a#75 · heralds-a#76] When Reminder was killed, the Remain Stalkers of Deadreach lost their coordination and withdrew into hiding. [heralds-a#147 · heralds-a#149]
