Hollowbridge — recorded in play under the variant names Hollow Ridge and Hollowridge — is a ruined town reached by the road from Snakecross, fought over by the Snowshield Count's column, Gnoll raiders, and Winter Elf forces during the Winter War. ^{[heralds-b#60 · heralds-a#81 · heralds-b#67]}

Overview

By the time the Snowshield Count and his fifty men reached the town, they found it empty and largely in ruins, with only a few buildings still standing. ^{[heralds-b#67]} The Count's company camped in the surviving structures for the night. ^{[heralds-b#67 · heralds-b#71]}

The Hollowbridge Ambush

During that night's camp, Gnoll infiltrators planted explosives in the standing buildings while Winter Elf archers fired into the town from the surrounding treeline, turning the camp into chaos as the two attacking forces struck at once. ^{[heralds-b#67 · heralds-b#71]} The party arrived at the town in the middle of this attack, entering the scene as the ambush was already under way. ^{[heralds-b#67]}

Forces near Hollowbridge

Twenty soldiers under the Winter Eladrin captain Veladrin Frostpeak, serving the Ursa family, left Snakecross to intercept any threat approaching from the south and, by report, reached the outskirts of Hollowridge. ^{[heralds-a#81]}
