Ironwood is a working-class industrial district built around its own tin factory, home to the goblin Tincrab Tribe. [last-winter#460]
Overview
The district's Tin Factory belongs to a company called Alloy and Scrap Ironworks, itself part of the larger Crystal Consortium. [last-winter#460] Both the Tin Factory and the Tincrab Tribe are based in Ironwood. [last-winter#514 · last-winter#517]
The Tincrab feud
The Tincrab Tribe is struggling for leadership, torn by a violent blood feud between two factions, the Razorbacks and the Greencaps, who kill each other on first sight. [last-winter#460] A gnome named Tuva Stoneshine, boss of the goblins working the Tin Factory, was killed in the course of this feud. [last-winter#460]
The Tin Factory dispute
An unnamed goblin mob leader acting as landlord in Ironwood, with enforcers at his call, has been buying up properties across the district and set his sights on the Tin Factory's land. [last-winter#537] He had the factory's gnome manager killed to clear his path, prompting the Crystal Consortium to send an Advocate to investigate the murder. [last-winter#460 · last-winter#537] Goblins accused of the killing denied any involvement to a party looking into the case; breaking into the factory at night for answers, the party triggered a trap and clashed with a guard before fleeing. [last-winter#537] Two days after the killing, the party struck a bargain with the landlord — who by then had revealed he ordered the murder — to help him seize the factory's land in exchange for his protection from the city guard. [last-winter#537]
Landmarks
The landlord keeps an office in the heart of the district, the closest thing Ironwood has to a seat of power. [last-winter#549 · last-winter#550 · last-winter#551]
