The Blind Knight is a wandering knight, once of Valleria, chosen by the goddess Knightess after losing his sight in a political conspiracy. [heralds-a#95] In play, the party has come to know him by the name Caelion. [heralds-a#103]

Overview

He was once an honorable and dutiful knight of the Valleria Regency, a region famed for its courtly politics and knights, and served protecting its counts and dukes. [heralds-a#95] A political scheme cost him his eyes and left him disfigured; he survived the attempt on his life but was banished into what he calls eternal darkness. [heralds-a#95] He found a way out of that exile and went on living by the vow he had once sworn, becoming a hedge knight in the wilderness. [heralds-a#95] There the goddess Knightess reached out to him and made him her chosen. [heralds-a#95] He now travels the empire helping people, protecting the innocent, and slaying evil, and was present in Altia for the killing of the Gnoll cults of Yeenoghu. [heralds-a#95]

Abilities

He is roughly 80 years old and does not die of old age. [heralds-a#95] He can wield two longswords without error, though he prefers to begin a fight with only one. [heralds-a#95] Gifts bestowed on him by his goddess grant him haste-like and misty-step-like abilities and a blindsight range of 120 feet. [heralds-a#95]

Personality

Despite his ordeal he is described as a very funny man with a great deal of energy, and very faithful to his goddess. [heralds-a#95]

Current path

His present business in the world is not something players should read here.

Players, stop here. What is hidden behind this point is game-master material. The full detail is on GM:The Blind Knight.
