The Curse of the Moonlit Guardian is an old legend, held among the guardians of the elven glades, of a curse belonging to an Arcadia-exiled archfey who watches over the elven forests and turns those who mean the elves harm into a beast. [last-winter#207 · last-winter#211]
The archfey
The archfey at the center of the curse is the lord of the moon and of shapechangers, banished from Arcadia; it still watches over the elven glades. [last-winter#211]
The curse's working
On the full moon, the archfey extends its protection over the land lying between the fae and the elves. [last-winter#211]
Anyone who carries ill intent toward a non-elven bloodline is transformed by the archfey into a beast of nature, which then guards the land against hostile, ill-intentioned creatures. [last-winter#211]
