Forgotten Legion, also called the Eternal Legion, was an Aenarch Imperial legion that marched into the underworld centuries before the present day to destroy the last standing Worm God crypt, and never returned. ^{[heralds-b#118 · heralds-b#126]}

Overview

The legion marched out together with a company of Aenism Clerics, sent to destroy the last standing crypt of the Worm Gods. ^{[heralds-b#118]} Neither the soldiers nor the clerics returned from the mission; their old, lost bodies remain in the underground chamber where the crypt still stands. ^{[heralds-b#118 · heralds-b#126]}

The Last Battle

In the depths, the legion fought Nagalar (Nagas) and the Yuan-Ti guarding the crypt, and remains of the Yuan-Ti can still be found scattered through the same underground area. ^{[heralds-b#118]} During the fighting, the legionnaires also encountered Priests of the Worm Gods. ^{[heralds-b#118]}

Remains

The game master specified that the crypt should not be shown holding a great host of the dead — only a small number of the legion's fallen lie among the ruins there. ^{[heralds-b#128]}
