GM canon
first cited: [heralds-b#71]

Gnolls are a raiding people who fight as infiltrators and saboteurs alongside the Winter Elves during the Winter War. [heralds-b#71 · heralds-b#94]

Overview

At Hollowbridge, a band of Gnoll ambushers slips into the town under cover of night and plants explosives in the buildings still left standing, while Winter Elf archers fire into the town from outside, throwing the camp into chaos. [heralds-b#71] By EKREM's explicit direction, that fight is fought only between Gnolls and archer Winter Elves — no snowdrift spirits, frostcallers, or revenants take part. [heralds-b#92]

Alliance with the Winter Elves

Gnolls fight as allies of the Winter Elves against Snowshield's Forces, striking from within a target as infiltrators while Winter Elf archers support them from outside. [heralds-b#71 · heralds-b#94]

Unconfirmed ideas

The source conversations contain proposals for Gnoll that the campaign owner never confirmed. They are collected on Idea:Gnoll so they cannot be mistaken for canon.
