Overview
Despite its name, the Crypt is not a tomb: it is a digestive seal holding a Worm God that reality itself has only half-digested. [heralds-a#40] The structure is a rib-like cage grown up out of the earth and wreathed in a pale green mist; the mist does not simply rot flesh, it dissolves identity first and the body second, which is why magic cast nearby comes apart. The servant worm
A massive worm moves through the tunnels beneath the Crypt; it is not hostile and it is not fleeing anything, but keeps the crypt's own passages open, the way a body reopens a blood vessel. History
